After an email threat shuttered two Manhattan Beach schools Friday, police are reporting that they’ve “determined no suspicious activity exists at Mira Costa High School or Pennekamp Elementary,” according to a Nixle alert issued by the Manhattan Beach Police Department.
MBPD and the FBI will continue to investigate the incident. Normal school schedules at both campuses and throughout the Manhattan Beach Unified School District will be in effect on Monday, Dec. 14.
In addition, the administrative offices at Mira Costa High School are now open.
MBPD will have a “police presence at all Manhattan Beach schools on Monday as a precautionary measure.”
